True Transformation

I write to express my thanks and appreciation for the literature “Parent Life, Christian Single and Adult Bible Study books among others. Prior to using your materials at the Victory Outreach Men’s Rehabilitation Home, there was no understanding on financial issues, marital relationship. The home had a very loose daily Bible study where we just read at random verses from any book in the Bible and  then  prayed. Even though the Bible study was done every day, the residents never understood what had been read and after  months, they could not even explain nor understand the verses we read. Additionally, we were not able to pray.

The Men’s home has three values: Christ Centeredness, Family Restoration and Positive Work Ethics. These three values are set as goals for the rehabilitation of those drug addicts and criminals taken from the streets and brought into the home. The “Parent Life, Christian Single and Adult Bible Study books” that we use mostly for our devotions have been a real blessing to our program, especially the Christ-likeness and family restoration aspects. We are seeing true transformation in the residents. They are growing spiritually and their attitudes toward their families are changing. As a result, their relationship with the Lord and their families are growing rapidly. Because of this, the very first time, we will be hosting the first family reunion day where families of the residents will bring meals and have fellowship with their children and relatives in the rehabilitation home.

Moreover, our devotion and Bible study is now more organized since we use the Adult Bible Study that guides us. Before starting to study a book in the Bible, we talk about the author, date and background of the book and the theme and purpose of the book. Also, we ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten our  minds, and explain the lesson in terms the men can understand, and allow them to ask questions with discussion of possible answers. Hence, the Biblical knowledge of the men in the home has increased very much.

Growing in Her Christian Walk

My name is Mrs. Susan Berry. I am 28 years old, and have been a member of the church for the past five years. I was having great difficulties studying the Bible systematically. I did not know which book to read first. I could not even understand the Bible when I read it.     After you distributed the books to us  a few weeks ago for our personal devotion, as I read them they have made my reading and understanding the Bible very easy for me. I have grown in my Christian walk with God.   I want to thank you so much for those books. I am not the same. May God bless you abundantly.

The Literature Has Changed Lives

Let me quickly thank you very much for the last container of Bibles and Literatures that came to us last year. Distribution went well. The Literature have changed many lives and that so many came to know the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Revivals, Crusades, and Seminars were held in different places and churches and that many tracts and literature were distributed. At one revival meeting I can record 35 coming to accept the Lord as their personal saviour and at a crusade that was held by our Gospel For Africa Ministries 80 persons accepted the Lord and were at onces baptized and sent to various churches. Rev. Steve, due to this literature distribution efforts, two denominations are now given birth to. The Living Word Churches, headed by Rev. Abenego G. Tarr and The True Vine Churches headed by Rev. Alexander Zaza. There are now several churches planters within out villages of Liberia from various churches due to the efforts to the Literature distribution project. To backup the evident we have sent you several pictures in the past of our distribution efforts. Again, we want to thank you for all your efforts and cares to the Churches of Liberia.

Much has been accomplished

Since the arrival of the Love Packages literature much has been accomplished. Firstly, all the churches under my leadership benefited. The Assemblies of God General Superintendent received sizable amounts for distribution to his churches. All the churches of the Evangelical of Liberia were served, as well as the Liberian Council of Churches. Many other para-church organizations, Baptist brothers, and individual churches also received. The demand for Christian literatures in this country is very much rapid, for this reason we are right now left with very few literature. Brother Steve, the children's church materials, Sunday school materials are very much helpful to our churches. The demand is so widespread. Nearly all of our pastors and evangelists lack Bibles down here. There is a great need for Bibles.

Requests for literature come into our office nearly every day. Leaders from the surrounding countries of Sierra Leone, and the Ivory Coast have even sent men to get literature from us. There is such a gap in the availability of literature, the need will be felt for the next 25 years. Let me say that the materials you have sent are performing wonders and miracles here. The Christian churches of Liberia are very thankful to you and your staff.

Hungry for the printed Word of God

I went to rural areas, churches, street corners, schools and displacement centers. Oh, How our people are greatly hungry for the printed word of God. We must thank you very much!
