We take this opportunity to thank you for all the books we received from you organization. We say "Blessed is the hand that gives for the glory of God". As a leader (pastor) who is still studying, I have learned how to rightly interpret the scriptures from the commentary book I received. Books are being circulated among members especially leaders. On behalf of 20 churches, our towns library and all the business people of Lephalale, I would like to thank you. We live in a small town (18,000) near the Botswania border. Our community is a closed and racially divided one. After collecting material, we prayed over it and then distributed it to both black and white churches in the area. The distribution of these resources has also led to a closer relationship between the different denominations and helps to break down the racial divide. We also gave a copy of "Break through Prayer" to every manager or business owner in town and to the library. Rejoice with us in the great things that the Lord is doing through Love Packages literature.

A trailer load of children’s ministry resources and adult bible study material, as well as, second hand bibles, youth magazines was distributed in a very poor rural area where such materials can’t even be dreamed about. It is impossible to describe the joy in the people who were blessed there. A couple of boxes of children's materials, including kids videos, were put into the hands of a pre-primary school teacher involved with the children's ministry. This blessing was received with such joy and renewed energy for the work underway there.
-I want to inform your office that the materials I collected from you have really enhanced the teaching ministry of the church very much. We used them in our adult and youth Sunday School classes and it has brought growth and commitment to our members. I have confidence that by the time we finish using all the materials, things will be very different in the activities of the church. All the materials collected are very good for Christian education and more especially the bible expositor and illuminator - Oh! I like the material very much as a pastor and overseer of the church.

This comes to thank you most sincerely for the books. I was able to collect from you last year when the container from the USA arrived. Thank you very much for remembering me in being able to come and collect material. We gave books / bibles to rural pastors, bible college students, inner-city pastors, and numerous individuals. One ladies unsaved husband, having numerous difficulties, read her book & his life has changed! We were able to give inner-city congregants, adults and youths, materials on Christmas Day. Door of Hope, YWAM, The Josiah Project and Jesus Film workers all received materials.

Please keep the Love Packages coming! You will never know this side of heaven how much the literature you have sent has changed, discipled and blessed the lives of children here in Africa! We minister to underprivileged, abused children. Some of them have died of Aids, but they died SAVED!! Praise the Lord! Some of the books you have sent are worn and tattered because of the loving hands of children who have read and re-read them. Every child in the school has received Jesus Christ as their Lord and saviour. We have 165 children. Please keep sending literature.

The container of books arrived. We offloaded it and the contents is in a safe place on the campus of a Bible College we started for refugees. Many many Sunday Schools are going to be blessed because of this shipment. Just today we had a request for teaching materials for children. We praise the Lord that we could reply in the affirmative! Once word gets out we will be inundated with requests. Our students are refugees who fled their countries due to war or instability. Some arrived with a calling upon their lives. Others were converted here and were commissioned by the Lord to return to their countries of birth to preach the Gospel. They will now return not only well trained and equipped but will also take with them good books that will enrich their ministries beyond measure. Needless to say, other students will benefit also by the new library we will be setting up for many generations to come. We appreciate this blessing. A special word of thanks to Eagles Nest Ministries and all those who helped to make this dream come true. Hours of precious labour must have been invested in this venture. Thank you Steve for your part and for not forgetting us. We believe that this container arrived at the right time. Had the container arrived last year we would have had a space problem. We now have a lovely campus with lots of buildings. We were in a position to receive this love gift. Our main focus has been to develop the church in other parts of Africa. However, we broadened our involvement to include churches in South Africa in disadvantaged areas. We have a strong relationship with many pastors who are enjoying the favour of the Lord upon their ministries. They too will be blessed with books.

We are having a great time with these materials in Southern Africa! We have had people here from 3 other nations who have been thrilled to receive materials they will be using from the container - Malawi, Botswana and Mozambique. Yesterday my wife and a friend were able to visit two nursery schools that operate in a very underdeveloped area and they were extremely grateful for materials that we selected for the children. I also had a call yesterday from a pastor who will travel up here with a small trailer to collect materials for their work in a rural area. He lives about 400 miles from here and is reaching 8-20 year old young people. Thanks.

I want to say thank you for the David C Cook children's and preschool Sunday School material I have received. I am a missionary in Joburg, South Africa and am currently coordinating the SS program at a new church plant. I wrote the curriculum last year but am looking forward to a writing break. This David C Cook curriculum looks wonderful. I am excited about using it this year. It will also be a great resource for our national teachers when I turn the SS program over to them!

It is absolutely amazing how great the need is for the Word of God. We are experiencing a revival amongst the Indian community - especially out of Hinduism - and therefore the demand is great for bibles. Recently a pastor told me how grateful he was about a large print bible out of your last consignment that he could give to an elderly lady with bad eyesight in his congregation who could not afford the price asked at the regular outlets and that she now spends hours in bible study. Zulu children who traditionally made use of the bible in their language are now learning English in school and there is a big demand for English bibles by these Zulu children. We also supply to evangelists working among the prisoners and we get good feedback of criminals starting bible study groups and spending more time reading the word of God. There is a big demand for Christian books, cd’s, dvd’s, and videos. Any help along these lines will be greatly appreciated also.

The books were used to help us set up a library here at the Bible college. The Bibles were distributed among churches and to the local people who needed them. The Sunday school material is only distributed after people who have an interest in Childrens ministry have been trained in using the materials. The tracts in the other languages were sent to Angola and Mozambique. Needless to say, the material supplied by you has indeed enriched and promoted the spread of the Gospel immensely among the people living in these areas that are so deprived of good spiritual reading material. What a blessing you have been to our Christian school. The Beka books you have sent are wonderful. We struggle to get materials of any kind. Christian materials are a bonus! Keep sending. Many of them are still very young so any grade 1,2, or 3 materials will also be such a blessing. We remember the day we visited you and we were so impressed with what you do for Jesus.

You can’t imagine how rewarding it was being able to hand them out to all the eager little faces, perceive their delight and accept their assurances that they will take care of them for those that follow. Gaye and I thank God daily for the privilege of being able to serve Him in such a delightful way. Thank you Love Packages for being such a good example of how God can use those who are prepared to be used to such a good effect. (Steve’s note: Gaye and her husband work in South Africa and pick up kids in the garbage dumps. Children who have no home. They currently have 150 children. During an outreach in Chatsworth (an Indian area mainly) we have met with Muslims who a while later visited the centre and who then obtained bibles. In one instance, a Muslim grandfather who took care of the children of his deceased son and daughter-in-law, brought them to a jamboree held in Chatsworth by a Christian church. These two kids attend a Christian school because his son and daughter-in-law were Christians. We had a book table at this jamboree and while all the attendants were in the big tent, the grandfather came to the table and although he was afraid of being seen by other muslims, obtained a secondhand bible donated by your organization. About a month later this grandfather visited the centre and told me that he has converted to the Christian faith and that he needs literature to study the bible. His words were that he has wasted 59 years of his life, but that since conversion a new life has opened up for him. Without your bibles and books, this miracle would not be possible.
More and more young people are visiting the centre and are obtaining bibles and books. These young people represent all the races living in this city and one can see the joy they experience when the books and bibles you donated are obtained and are treasured. Many pastors and teachers visit the centre to obtain literature for study purposes and for the purpose of preparing their congregations for mission work and a purposeful Christian life. The demand for Sunday School material is ever increasing since the material you donated are not available anywhere else in South Africa.
We wish to place on record our sincere thanks for the blessing that you have been to the church and the outreach ministries. The quality of the material and to acquire it by way of a donation principle, have ensured that the literature and books could be enjoyed by a large Christian community rather than just a privileged few.

The container with material that we received came in through the Durban port and together with a local Church we arranged for distribution in the Kwa-Zulu Natal area, an area that consists of a largely rural population. This area has been involved in political turmoil and fighting’s that caused great discomfort for the people living there. The key person involved in the distribution is Pastor Francois who is involved with ministry to the schools, the youth, prison and church planting. He reports that literature has been distributed to local schools and as a result many young people have accepted Christ as Savior. Then, they also used the literature when having tent meetings, they have about 6 tents in different parts of that area and the literature is used as follow-up teaching material for newly converted Christians.
I would like to mention that South Africa is the gateway to the rest of Africa and from the Kwa-Zulu Natal area literature has been sent north into Mozambique, a country that is also desperate in need of the Gospel and that there is just no Christian literature of any kind available except what we send them from South Africa. For many the literature is the only source available to learn more about Christ as Bibles are not available. We do not always get feedback on everything that is distributed but it is like seed that is planted in areas where there is no Church presence. Pastor Francois and his team is doing a great work with the literature and as a result many souls are saved and people healed.

The Container that came in through the East London port is my personal responsibility and here I can give a first hand report. I also labor for the Lord in an area where Christian literature is almost non-existent. I have just been in a Church two weeks ago where I had earlier distributed some materials and the young people on that day has put a special program together to demonstrate what the material has done for them. They used the Sunday School material and CD,s and sang the songs and dance the danced they have learned. It was very moving. I have taken a load on my truck to the annual convention. There were about 10,000 people present who have very few bibles and no Christian literature. There pastors have never been to a Bible School. They are now using the material, Adult Sunday school, as material to equip themselves and learn more about the Bible. I have also helped a new little Bible School in a rural area towards the East Coast with books and material so that they can have material to teach there students. The material helps them to lead people to the Lord and teach believers.
In South Africa we have no adult Sunday school classes and this material is sought after by almost everybody. A great deal of the literature serves to equip and prepare people for Christian life and ministry. Again I want to say, literature of this nature is not available here by us and what we receive from you fills a gap that would have otherwise left many people in darkness and without any spiritual resources to enrich their lives. We are also preparing to set up like a mini library where people can come a borrow books, study it and then bring it back so that it be reused again. I hope that what I have written here would help in some way to encourage your supporters to keep on giving towards the extension of the Kingdom of God. We are really blessed by their giving.

We have set up a brand new department of Child Evangelism. A missionary couple who recently joined hands with us in our training and outreach programs are taking care of this exciting new ministry. The large quantity of literature that you sent has enabled us to set up a training program specifically for people who are called to work with children and young people. We are now reaching out to the local churches and schools through this ministry.

Many magazines, children's CDs, daily devotionals and other books were distributed in a personal one-on-one basis amongst the staff of many shops. This provided some wonderful ministry opportunities and ongoing relationships in that centre. Peter looks forward to the opportunity to sow more seeds in this centre with the fresh batch of materials. Several established churches benefitted from the wonderful Sunday School materials. The gratitude for these resources was enormous and definitely worth every bit of the effort to get them there. One teen was praying for a bible and was so blessed by a second hand teen study bible. One wife was so excited because her husband received two books on the exact topic she was praying for God to minister into her husbands life. Both these books were read and reread and God has answered her prayers. A box of quality children’s materials found it’s way into the hands of a volunteer heading off to Indonesia. It was distributed amongst the children there who were devastated by the tsunami.
