I wanted to send my thanks to Love Packages for your good work that you have been doing to rescue the suffering and lost souls here in our country of Tanzania. I thank God that I found out about the shipment of gospel materials that came to Pastor Masanja. I phoned him and he invited me to come and collect gospel materials free of charge. Within a week everything I had picked up was gone except for 1 small box of books I kept to start a library in my church. I asked Pastor Masanja where he got these materials and he said: From our friends in America and explained of your ministry. I want to encourage you to continue sending us as the need is very great for the Word of God at present. I am afraid the need is bigger than the supply but we will continue to pray.

Thanks for your desire and efforts to help our nation with God's word, we rejoice and are blessed by your support. This country is now changing spiritually, since you started sending containers, many have been reached, touched, blessed and spiritually healed. But this country is very big with over 34 Million Population. Even as I write you, I have over 1000 letters requesting Bibles, Books etc. from Pastors, Evangelists, Churches, Ministries, Villages, etc. In fact, we could use 2-3 containers per month to try to quench the thirst for the Word of God here. Now is the time when people are trying to establish Libraries in their Bible Colleges, Churches, Public Christian reading rooms and Lending Libraries. Love Packages are the only solution. Your heart to support Tanzanian Pastors by giving them bicycles is a revelation. Pastors have been suffering long time by travelling a long distance for preaching, but now they have bicycles. Over 2O pastors have benefited from the bicycles you have sent.

In a very special way I want to thankfully bless the Lord Jesus Christ for the ministry of books and audio tapes I have received through the gospel literature distribution. Jesus has manifested Himself much more clearer to those I have reached, since I have started receiving those spiritual inputs. Not less than 35 pastors and overseer’s have been receiving tapes and books plus, the bibles which can normally be a very expensive if we are to get new ones. The need for gospel materials is much more bigger in this land.

I just received an email from our distributor in Tanzania - he reported that he was requested to bring literature into several refugee camps. Over 150,000 people live in these camps. They fled the war and genocide in Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Most have only one set of clothes and just enough food is provided for a day to day existence. Many pastors fled at the same time and are among the people. They have begun 59 churches in the refugee camps, but have no Christian literature. Our distributor reported that when he drove into the camps with a couple of pick up trucks full of literature from Love Packages there was a shout that came up from the camp, with people shouting and clapping. They were so thrilled to receive the Word of God and to know that someone cared about them.

Personally, I as a pastor and traveling evangelist able to understand English, have been taught a lot, receiving deeper bible based teachings and fresh insight through preachers like Dr. Tony Evans, Chuck Swindoll, etc. and actually Jesus has manifested Himself much more clearer to those I have reached since I have started receiving those spiritual inputs. My church also has a small audiotape library and it's a great blessing to many. Because my ministry takes me to up-country Tanzania, not less that 35 pastors and overseers have been receiving tapes and books, plus, the bibles - which can normally be very expensive. Please do not despair in doing good, especially feeding the nations spiritually, you shall be rewarded in due season.

On behalf of the Gospel Literature Distribution Center I wanted to send my gratitude for your kindness, heart and desire for serving the poor and needy people. Through this Ministry of sending containers to the needy, you have made many souls to come to Christ. As you know that our Income per day remains $1.00 per day which means that not even one can managed to Purchase a New Testament which is sold in Dar Es salaam Bookshops at $7.00 per copy. Tracts that you have been sending are a blessing to many individuals, Churches and Ministries, in my Country. There are shops that sell tracts here but when we give them free, it is amazing to the people. In three years period of Gospel Literature Distribution, we managed to reach many Villages, Churches, Ministries, Bible Colleges, Schools and Christian Libraries, as a result many souls have come to know Jesus

Christ as their Lord and saviour. Also the standard of reading the word of God has raised compared to previous years. There is a great hunger for the word and by your Ministry of sending the Printed word the hunger and thirst for the word will be reduced. We have also gone beyond our own country sending literature to Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda and Uganda. While Tanzania has been spiritually responsive and many have been won to Christ through the Gospel Literature Distribution, extreme scarcity of Christian teaching materials and Bibles leave an open door to Muslim influence. The less informed are ignorant of Muslims intentions and misleading beliefs. They are not able to defend their faith.

As a result many Christians join Islam. The Bible says in the book of Hosea "My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge, this is the result of the scarcity of Christian teaching resources and extreme Poverty on the part of Tanzania Christian Communities. At this time in Tanzania when Christians are confronted with such severe hostility and antagonism from members of Muslim communities, there is a wide spread hunger and thirst for the word of God. There is a great need of Bibles, Christian Books, Sunday School materials, tracts, and other Christian literature. Our experience shows that people in remote unreached villages fight to get a copy of Christian literature, as there is serious shortage of Bibles, tracts, Booklets etc.
